Over the past 13 years I have thrown some serious shapes!

I have spent the last 13 years working within the contemporary dance and theatre sector, and I have been a part of some wonderful experiences, created and toured some fantastic productions, and have delivered many, many, many education and accessible practice workshops and projects.

Whether it's devising new outdoor and indoor theatre works for C-12 Dance Theatre, choreographing green screen music videos, or movement directing with producing team, Electric Light Studios or theatre company Tiata Fahodzi, I have danced through the last few years with pure enthusiasm and excitement!

Below are a few examples of my most recent creative projects.

The Dark Room, Theatre 503, Nov-Dec 2017.

Movement Direction.

Written by Angela Betzien, Directed by Audrey Sheffield and Produced by Paperbark Theatre and Theatre 503. The show had a 3 week run at Theatre 503 in Battersea, London, and received two Offies Nominations for Best Director and Best Lighting Design as well as some great reviews.

Force, Secret Encounters Programme, C-12 Dance Theatre, UK Tour 2017-18.

I was commissioned by Adam Towndrow, alongside three other choreographers, Corey Baker, Tony Adigun and Sally Marie, to create a 5 minute duet on two dancers for C-12 Dance Theatre. Force is a duet of two lovers brought together by a powerful, unexplainable attraction. It is a short contemporary dance work exploring the uncontrollable energy and magnetism between these two people. Exploring connection, touch and the ability to excerpt control over another person without physically touching them, this work explores the draw and captivation two people have towards each other and all the physical responses they may have as a result; friction, gravity, attraction, repulsion.  Catch this duet as part of C-12 Dance Theatre's Secret Encounters, more information can be found here.

The Little Match Girl and Other Happier Tales, The Shakespeare's Globe 2016-2017, Bristol Old Vic 2017-18, National Tour 2018.

Stories by Hans Christian Andersen, Writer & Co-Adaptor: Joel Horwood, Director & Co-Adaptor: Emma Rice, Designer: Vicki Mortimer, Composer: Stephen Warbeck. Choreography: Myself & Etta Murfitt

Originally part of the WONDER NOIR Season at The Shakespeare's Globe, playing in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse from 24th November 2016 through until 22nd January 2017, the show was remounted for Bristol Old Vic and embarked on a UK tour, ending full circle and completing Emma Rice's season at The Globe on 21st April 2018.

The show was beautiful, magical and all things expected of a wondrous Emma Rice production. I had an amazing time working with all the magnificent cast, creative team and crew on this show and am sad to see it go. If you missed it, you really did miss out! But don't just take my word for it.....show info here.
